About this provider

Ambitions 4 Kirklees fosters an encouraging environment for young people and adults with learning difficulties and disabilities to grow and develop. Our settings and sessions aim to promote independence and life skills, whilst keeping our caring and friendly ethos. We work closely with our members to understand what they would like to achieve and the activities that they would like to participate in. This helps us to create a total learning environment covering work skills, social skills, independence and leisure.
We offer a range of full time and/or part time placements, as well as social events, respite and supported living.

Our activity programme changes every three months, to take advantage of the different seasons and to provide members with a wide range go choices as possible. The activities we offer are under the headings of employment and vocational; domestic and home skills; education and leisure. For example - arts & crafts; woodwork; gardening; cooking; budgeting & money skills; vintage clothing; online retail; health; swimming; gym; cycling; dancing; music; yoga; football; travel training; photography. Some activities incur an additional cost such as horse riding; bowling; social events; cinema.

All the activities take place in environments that are supportive, nurturing and challenging, offering real life opportunities to enjoy and achieve through purposeful pursuits - the overall philosophy can best be summed up as 'Learning through living for life'
