STEP UP Day centre based in Ravensthorpe, Dewsbury provides day care services to people aged 18 plus with learning difficulties and complex needs.

Step up bases its operation in Ravensthorpe opposite the Ravensthorpe community centre and nursery 24 (Annexe) Garden Street Ravensthorpe, Dewsbury WF13 3AR.

The service was set up by the charity Routeways in conjunction with service users, parents and carers to address the lack of a culturally appropriate learning disability services for ethnic minorities. The service is open to everyone regardless of race or religion. We also offer Female only days / sessions.

We deliver a wide range of activities and have excellent resource.

Step up aims to offer wheelchair friendly, safe and secure care to our service users at all times. Close personal attention to each person is essential to be able to provide a quality experience for all the service users so they can live life to their full potential. Person centred approach and support plans tailored for the individual.

A structured timetable for the centre which can be tailored to suit individual skills and abilities.

We are confident that the activities offered, and facility will be impressive.

We have to offer the Main hall where all activities / subjects will take place whilst other areas may be used for snack and lunch breaks.
